And You Thought Abercrombie & Fitch Was Pushing It? - New York Times: "Weronika Cwir, a 31-year old law-school dropout, who writes Web site copy and functions as the company's house theorist and intellectual, likes to describe the American Apparel aesthetic by quoting an old Polish phrase: 'Na pograniczu kiczu i absolutnego piekna,' which roughly translates as 'On the brink of kitsch and absolute beauty.'"
